Capewell Family :: Fort Wayne Family Photography

I met up with the Capewell family at Haverford College on a gorgeous Sunday morning. They originally contacted me because they are expecting twin girls in January, and wanted to get photos of their family when it was still the 4 of them.

It was my first time meeting Cadence and Amalia, but they couldn't have been more well-behaved if I had asked. In fact, they were downright excited for their session!

Cadence had amazing patience, and a smile that lit up my LCD screen...

What to Wear: Women's Fall Engagement

I know it's almost November... but it's never too late to talk fall fashion!

Specifically, I'm here to help you figure out what to wear for your fall engagement shoot...

Wedding Day Bridal Tour :: Fort Wayne Wedding Photography

Yesterday was the culmination of a lot of time, effort, and... (let's be honest) money. It was my very first bridal show at the Grand Wayne Center downtown Fort Wayne!

It was a super early morning. Ryan and I got up at 6:45, left the house by 7:15, and were unloading our cars at the loading docks by 7:30.

We arrived at my booth, and it pretty much looked like this:

Pop-Up Studio :: Fort Wayne Portrait Photography

I'm about to make your life a million times easier. Imagine a world in which you could have your family's holiday photos taken in ten minutes, choose the images you like, and have your holiday cards delivered to your door all with time to relax and actually enjoy your holiday break?! If that thought made you happy, then  this event is for you...

I'm super excited to announce that I'll be hosting a pop-up studio during November's Last Saturdays!

Annabelle and Jackson :: Philadelphia Children's Photography

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... Annabelle and Jackson get along better than any brother-sister duo that I've ever met (including my own brother and I!). So photographing them on what turned out to be a gorgeous day-after-Thanksgiving was a true pleasure.

We headed to the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia. The setting was perfect, and we ended up with some beautiful fall photos of the cutest siblings on Earth.

Owen 10 Months :: Chicago Baby Photography

A friend of the family had a brain aneurysm. It resulted in a lot of hospital time and tons of physical therapy to regain her basic motor functions. The therapy was really helping... until the insurance company said "no more".

So back in August, some of her friends held a benefit and silent auction to raise money for continued treatment. And that's where a woman named Cara won a 60-minute photo shoot with me.

It was a horrible circumstance that led us to meet... but the day we photographed Cara's son, Owen, was one full of smiles.

Aiden 2 Years :: Fort Wayne Children's Photography

I love photographing toddlers. They're at an age where they're a little ball of energy, excitement, and expression. Capturing the perfect photograph with a 2-year-old can be challenging... but it's the challenge that makes it that much more rewarding in the end.

Miles 3 Months :: Fort Wayne Baby Photography

After the rain stopped, it turned into a pretty good day. Three-month-old Miles was in a pretty good mood, and ready for his very first photo shoot. I was in the presence of an internet celebrity. I was introduced to Miles through his blog. Okay, so it's really his mom's blog... but she likes to post photos and stories about her little one as well. Check it out if you're interested in health, fitness, and running (like me!).

In case you're wondering, these photos were all shot at Miles' home. I don't have a studio, and at this point, I don't feel the need for one. What's better than photographing your kids in the comfort of their own home? What's more special than photographing them with the clothing and props that they use on a daily basis? After all, my photography is about telling the story of you.

So on with the adorable-ness...

Sarah and Brandon :: Kalamazoo Wedding Photography

It was an October wedding if I'd ever seen one. From the handmade fall bouquets to the pumpkin-themed reception decor... Sarah and Brandon's wedding really captured the season.

Despite all the wedding day commotion, Sarah and Brandon seemed to only see each other. Shooting their portraits felt like I was capturing the first intimate moments between husband and wife.

Donna and Adam :: Grand Rapids Wedding Photography

Donna and Adam are young, fun, and so obviously in love. And it was a pleasure shooting their wedding day with Misty Minna Photography.

It was a Saturday in late September, and it was supposed to rain all day. But the rain held out just long enough for us to get the most amazing "first look" shots. I think sometimes the weather gods really are listening.
