What to Wear: Women's Fall Engagement

I know it's almost November... but it's never too late to talk fall fashion!

Specifically, I'm here to help you figure out what to wear for your fall engagement shoot...

To start out, we're going to pull a little "Pin-spiration" and show you some rockin casual outfits that would look great for your engagement shoot.

I totally love this outfit, and I always encourage my couples to wear a lot of layers. Texture and layering looks great in photos...

This one is totally chic and classic. For engagement photos, I would punch it up a notch by swapping out that gray shirt for something patterned or a little more colorful...

If you want something a little more casual and comfortable (maybe you and your fiance are going to snuggle on a coffee shop couch), then this outfit would be perfect. I (like everyone else on earth) am totally in love with the brown riding boots...

This last one is really original, but would need a few adjustments before I could recommend you wear it out in 40 degree weather. The white shirt would definitely need to be long sleeved, the pants un-rolled (maybe skinny jeans instead?), and it would look great paired with a colorful infinity scarf...

Of course, all those outfits are on the casual side. I always recommend my clients bring at least 2 outfits... one casual, and one dressy.

As a sample for a great fall-appropriate dressy outfit, I created this...

I totally forgot to include a cardigan in there... but that wouldn't be too hard to imagine. I think a gray one or a yellow one to match the belt would be adorable.

Dress - Anthropologie, $198
